/When I work with clients who struggle with intrusive thoughts, one of the most difficult parts is often not just the thought itself, but the shame that attaches to it.
The thought often feel disturbing and anxiety provoking, but there is often a range of other emotions that the person may feel that can be quite overwhelming for most patients. I find that some OCD-related themes bring on far more tremendous shame for patients than other themes do.
